The U S 66 Band is an American touring band making music for the road. The band's founder Jess McEntire is not only a child of the iconic Route but a passionate and dedicated promoter actively helping in the preservation/restoration and strongly advocating the repairing of historic buildings and landmarks along the route. McEntire’s coined phrase “Promoting tourism off the road to the road”  landed him with the honors of not only taking the band to the Czech Republic to represent the Iconic highway but also he is honored to be appointed as the official ambassador of their annual Route 66 festival in Zlin. The band performs original and classic country as well as a special twist on classic Rock n Roll. They are currently involved with nonprofit organizations raising money for worthy causes that benefit the road.
